New Year off to a good start.....................

I had a shaky start to the year, but have found my feet and have my first finish for 2017!  I brought this unit for $40 which was a steal! Then with a little chalk paint and time..................................

This unit is a combo of blue and linen colors and I love how it has turned out, to be honest it has come out better than i thought!
Have a great Tuesday,

KHS and a house challenge

Wow can't believe how long it has been since I last blogged!  Life can certainly get busy at times!  I have been doing a fair bit of crafting but it is been all things for a Christmas market stall I have coming up on the 4th of December.  My challenges for KHS have been put to the side also, but not this one! When we last met at Nicky's she gave us all a house.(pictured above), the challenge...........decorate?
Michelle's had lights and gorgeous fresh flowers.

Nicky's was done as a present for a friend,
a beautiful Christmas theme.
Mine was a simple number with doilies.

And as for Claire with her tongue out!!! She made a gorgeous little quilt for the inside of hers and a Christmas theme also! Her photo also shows her other two finished challenges, her pinecones and doiley hanging.
Our meeting was held at Michelle's and we have a fantastic meal and very quick catch up for me as I left a couple of hours after arriving as I had a 21st to go too!! I so wanted to stay!! It was a great night!!
Michelles pinecone challenge-very cute in pink!!

And this is Nickys, we could do a pinecone or
a flower tree-soooooooo cute!!!

In Michelles craft room-love it!!

just a couple of quick quilts Michelle
whipped up!!

And above is a new Christmas decoration Michelle brought, so cute in a lovely blue!  If you have read to the bottom thanks for hanging around.  It is abit photo heavy I know!  Hope you have a great weekend,

Fur and woolly babies...................

All babies now have four feet firmly on the ground with my Hereford Milly the last to calve!  The ewes have lambed and only 10 orphans this year which started in the container below nice and warm by the fire and then off to the paddock where the racing began!!  They have been docked and apart from missing their tail all is well.

I love this time of year, it  feels like you are slowing down (and actual fact there is another up hill battle called Christmas!!!)

But for now I am going to enjoy all the babies around me! Not think about Christmas or the fact that my garden looks like a weed festival !
Enjoy your Wednesday,

Fireworks,dinner and great company!

I think I may have to re-introduce myself, it has been so long since I have blogged!  Life has a funny way of getting crazy when you lease expect it!  I also thought I may have to re-introduce myself to the KHS because it had been a while since I last went to one of those get togethers also!!  But this month we met at Nicky's and it was great!  She had moved since the last time I was at her place and still a very welcoming home feeling at the new place just like the old place! I love it when you walk into someone's home and you get that easy feeling like you are at home!! Although I never had any girl toys like there is at Nicky's!!
One of Nick's treasures which I love, was a little too big to sneak home!! -Maybe a job while she is at work!!

Forgot to take a lot of photos, but as you can see we have a great tea!!
Some people didn't want to share dessert!!!  (I did tell you the photo was not pretty!!!)

And then there were these ragga-muffins, a dinosaur, bee and wolf!!
It was a great night, forgot to take photos of everyone's projects, Nick was doing a pretty stitchery in pretty thread, Claire forgot to bring hers?? And there is a photo of Michelle holding hers and mine is the fabric pine cone at the top!!'And to top the night off we got to watch a fantastic fireworks display from Nick's dinning room! A perfect end to the night!!
If you are still reading, thanks for hanging around, hope to have move crafts to show soon, take care,

A reindeer................

A new edition for the Christmas collection!  Been wanting to make this wee chap for a while and finally felt like making him!

Spent the weekend cutting out and appliqueing the above, (my son brought me this as a kit some time ago as a Christmas pressie, he informed me it was four years ago.............rubbish'' I told him, .............but I think he is right...............not that I am telling him that!!) I thought by having these prepared I  just might get them done???? Wishful thinking I think!!
And I have a few of these wee things to feed now. They are such time wasters but I love feeding lambs!  I have always been a sucker for babies!!
Enjoy your week, Michelle.
