All bag

Today is KHS and I can't make it, it is the first meeting I have missed ! I am sure the girls are going to have heaps of fun at Loraines ! and Corso ! Well above is my 1st ever bag, it was a free pattern on the net and I used a charm pack (coming home or home town, I think?) I must admit it was alot easier than I thought.  Have a great weekend, Michelle.

Santa

June has been my month to finish projects and so far I am not doing too bad !  This is a little pillow I whipped up along with this one.........
I started this stitchery last February.  Tomorrow is KHS and it is bag month, much to my suprise I finished my bag two and a half weeks ago.  It does not feel right I am usually hard out the night before trying to finish my project.
Have a great night, Michelle.

Paradise trouble

Thanks to all those who have commented in the last couple of weeks! My broadband provider has been giving me grief, when trying to reply to all your wonderful comments, so I have changed and hopefully this will make life easier??
Now onto good stuff, last week I was given this great old wooden suitcase, I didn't really know the lady that well but she had heard I collect old things and wanted to give this to me to add to my collection!! (feeling lucky!)
I have also invaded the house with my sewing machine - love my craft room but it is so cold out there ! The down side is that we can't eat at the table and haven't done for about 2 weeks. (kids don't mind !)
This is a new project and am just over half way, will show more soon! Have finished a couple of small projects which I will show in a couple of days.
Cody took this photo a couple of days ago, this is Moggy and he is a pain ! Loves sitting on anything I am sewing! Well better go and get my wet weather gear on as we are off to draught out cows to go away grazing for 6 weeks, I am dragging my heels as it is hailing !, wet and cold !!
Enjoy your day, Michelle.

Antique Pram

I am finally getting around to showing you my pram which I brought off Trade me for $15.  It is everything I love, old, rusty and unloved - what more can I say.  So here is a photo with all my goodies made in the last KHS challenge.
While taking this photo thought I would take one with some other rusties  I brought with Nick the other weekend.
The pan at the end is a cream cotting pan and scoop and of course a little milk/cream can.
Have a great week, Michelle.

Rag quilt

A finish !! this is my first attempt at a rag quilt, it is just what I need when the fire isn't going.  I used 4 layer cakes, so the front and back are the same colours.  Quick and easy-this is my kind of quilt !
Have a great Friday, Michelle.

Thursday 7 June 2012

Just a quick post today.  Saw a display on Pinterest which inspired me to do this for myself and I just love it ! (I am beginning to sound like Claire !!)  The old silver tray was my husbands grandparents and I didn't know what to do with it and now it holds a few of my favourite black and white photos.
I hope that something or someone inspires you this Thursday, enjoy your day, Michelle.

Antique scales, mirror & a rusty tin.

These are my new scales I picked up a couple of weekends ago - I think they are just gorgeous but Ben tells me that they are really heavy!!! He was the lucky one who got to carry them inside for me !  I also got quite a few bargain's that weekend (thanks Nick) but I will show you more in another post.  I have been trying hard to finish a project or two  and a couple I have had planned in my head.
So before and after photos:

And my last project for today is one that I have had planned for ages !!!  I brought this old mirror and wanted to antique it and put some old photos behind it and I am really happy with how it has come out, the photo does not do it justice.

This weekend is Queens Birthday for all us kiwi's so it is a long weekend !! So I hope everyone has a safe and productive weekend, Michelle.
